Sebenernya gw uda pengen nonton dari kapan tau. Sejak gw baca review film dan tau kalo ni film, film..ga biasa. *menang academy award pula. I love foreign and unsual movies....

Jadi ga sabar diri pergilah gw ke ambas dan mencari dvdnya (sebelum filmnya keluar skrg)

The movie itself was cool..and i meant in a freaky way. Walau cerita mengenai anak2 tapi bukan untuk anak2. It's like alice in the wonderland but the dark version. I'd give it 5 stars..tapi karena setting ceritanya perang dunia II dan banyak darah....gw kurangin satu bintang. Other than dark it's also gory..blegh

But filmnya bagussss bikin merasa ngeri walo ga ada hantu (ga hantu tapi ada makhluk2 ga jelas yang serem), makeup artistnya juga did a crazy job sampe bisa menangin academy award kan...hebat imajinasinya.,
jadi must see for those peeps who likes to watch a different kind of movie...ya jangan harap bisa nonton manis2 sih di sini hehehe

The film itself sangat imaginatif, absurd, and brillianty creative! Pokoknya kaya nonton video klip bjork aneh tapi keren dan sangat playful dan juga kaya melihat karya2 art craft gw saat sd dulu....bergerak dalam bentuk animasi yang hebat.

Telat banget deh gw baru nonton film documenter yang menangin academy award ini. Im always facinated by creatures that live in the harshes climate like south pole. Like im facinated watching documenter movies or shows about animals (other than crocs, snakes or other reptiles that is)

Banyak yg bs kita pelajari dr binatang terutama binatang ini, seperti kegigihan dan usaha keras utk berjalan sepanjang jauh sekali utk mencari pasangannya....(lucu bagaimana setelah menemukan partnernya mereka akan berdua kemana2 terus2an.)Bahwa mereka ada makhluk yang jelas menganut monogomy, bagaimana mereka berbagi tugas dalam membesarkan anak, juga penuh kasih sayang dan kesabaran, bagaimana mereka seperti kita, bisa marah, bisa sedih, bisa gegabah.....*Senyum2 sendiri gw nontonnya, apalagi liat jalannya*

Each winter, alone in the pitiless ice deserts of Antarctica, deep in the most inhospitable terrain on Earth, a truly remarkable journey takes place as it has done for millennia. Emperor penguins in their thousands abandon the deep blue security of their ocean home and clamber onto the frozen ice to begin their long journey into a region so bleak, so extreme, it supports no other wildlife at this time of year. In single file, the penguins march blinded by blizzards, buffeted by gale force winds. Resolute, indomitable, driven by the overpowering urge to reproduce, to assure the survival of the species.

Guided by instinct, by the otherworldly radiance of the Southern Cross, they head unerringly for their traditional breeding ground where - after a ritual courtship of intricate dances and delicate maneuvering, accompanied by a cacophony of ecstatic song - they will pair off into monogamous couples and mate.

The days grow shorter, the weather ever more bitter. The females remain long enough only to lay a single egg. Once this is accomplished, exhausted by weeks without nourishment, they begin their return journey across the ice-field to the fish-filled seas. The journey is hazardous, and rapacious leopard seals a predatory threat. The male emperors are left behind to guard and hatch the precious eggs, which they cradle at all times on top of their feet. Subjected to subzero temperatures and the terrible trials of the polar winter, they too face great dangers.

After two long months during which the males eat nothing, the eggs begin to hatch. Once they have emerged into their ghostly white new world, the chicks can not survive for long on their fathers' limited food reserves. If their mothers are late returning from the ocean with food, the newly-hatched young will die.

Once the families are reunited, the roles reverse, the mothers remaining with their new young while their mates head, exhausted and starved, for the sea, and food. While the adults fish, the chicks face the ever-present threat of attack by prowling giant petrels. As the weather grows warmer and the ice floes finally begin to crack and melt, the adults will repeat their arduous journey countless times, marching many hundreds of miles over some of the most treacherous territory on Earth, until the chicks are ready to take their first faltering dive into the deep blue waters of the Antarctic.

Phil collins, siapa yang tdk kenal dia? drummer genesis yang juga writer dan composser music lagu2 yang easy listening. Sejak bernyanyi solo menjadi tambah ngetop dan lagu2 juga banyak yang menjadi hits seperti: against all odds (one of my fav ;) yang banyak dinyanyikan ulang oleh penyanyi terkenal lainnya, another day in paradise, groovy kind of love and so much more. Malah2 lagu2 dia pernah diremix ulang dan dinyanyikan para penyanyi kulit hitam dalam album Urban Renewal. (enak juga ;))

Kini, kumpul2an lagu2 yang hits yang lama maupun baru dikumpulkan dalam album yang terakhir ini. Sebuah Album berisi 18 lagu lama dan barunya. Plus ada additional songs yang dia menyanyikan live lagu, lagu seperti 'seperate lives', 'my girl' and 'the way u look tonite'-nya frank sinatra live..which is soooooo good.

Blah! I dislike making reviews...i like the movie because it's good. but if u say how good, i wud just say good, cause it just is. (cara ngeles orang malas) so i decided to paste the story below...;)

During the early 1960's, Paris, like the much of Europe, was an explosion of life. As the old gave way to the new, everything was in flux and the city was filled with a energy that promised cultural shifts and social change. Against this background, in a working class neighborhood, two unlikely characters—a young Jew and an elderly Muslim—begin a friendship. When we meet Momo (Pierre Boulanger), he is in effect an orphan even though he lives with his father, a man slowly retreating into a crippling depression. His only friends are the street whores who treat him with genuine affection. Momo buys his groceries at the neighborhood shop, a crowded dark space owned and run by Ibrahim (Omar Sharif), a silent exotic looking man who sees and knows more than he lets on. After Momo is abandoned by his father, Ibrahim becomes the one grownup in Momo's life. Together they begin a journey that will change their lives forever.

Cheese cake factory is located in tebet, beside smun 26. I often come here with my co-workers after work just to eat their mouth watering cheese cake. I tell ya, each cheese cake only cost Rp. 12.000,- pretty cheap huh?dan pilihannya banyak! ada blueberry (my fav), strawberry, rainbow, fruit cheese cake and many more. If u guys allergic to cheese, like my friend, don't worry, they offer a variety of other cakes, cookies and ice cream. Nyam! Sayang tempatnya kecil, many people come for take aways walau ada 2 meja doank. But if u like to hang out they have a branch in senopati called Harvest. It's more like a cafe, more bigger, more convinient and more nicer ofcourse! and don't worry the cakes is still the same price. :) (malah ada yang Rp. 10.000) If ur planning to go there...dont forget to contact me...wont say no to cheese cake! >:9
